Central Library: An Overview Kalinga University, Raipur Central Library caters to the teaching, learning and research needs of the library users. At present, the Central Library holds a total collection of over 83500+ volumes of books and 100+ National and International print periodicals. Apart from the print resources Central Library is also full of e-resources like DELNET, Scopus, NDL, Manupatra, NPTEL etc. and the library has purchased license to access more than 5000 online research journals on Science, Technology, Management, Law, Pharmacy etc. and over 200000 e-books available to support research activity of the university and CD versions are also available for the library users. The Central Library has been modernized to provide computerized services to library users at large. The Central Library is fully automated with integrated library management system(koha) and modernized with latest barcode-based & RFID Integrated automation system that facilitates Acquisition, Classification, Cataloguing, Circulation, Serial Control, User Registration, Transaction History, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), Shelf Management, Report, Support system. This technology/software offers the fastest, easiest, most efficient way to track, locate and manage library resources. The library also aims to provide the academic community with access to rich and relevant information resources to support their research, teaching and learning activities.
